Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Sounding Light  one of our community’s premiere choirs, celebrates the spirit of Christmas Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. at North Hills Christian Reformed Church, Troy, MI

 "O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant!"  "O come, all ye weary, and I will give you rest." 

Take a deep breath from the hustle and bustle; rest a moment from the business and busy-ness of the holiday season.  Come to hear the angelic voices of sounding light bringing heavenly music that will reawaken the awe and wonder of this holy season.  Raise your voice with the angel choirs in favorite Christmas carols, sharing the good tidings of comfort and joy!

No admission fee.  Recordings will be available for purchase.



50s Plus Christmas Event


Enjoy a great meal, lots of fellowship, and a white elephant gift exchange on Friday, December 12, 2014, beginning at 6:45 p.m.  Contact the church office for more details and to RSVP.

The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James will be discussed on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. in the library.  All are welcome.



Provide Thanksgiving Dinners


Donate food items for Thanksgiving dinners for the Community Assistance Program (Detroit).  The complete list includes

  • 14.5 oz. package of macaroni and cheese
  • corn meal or 3 Jiffy corn muffin mixes
  • 2 cans of one type vegetable
  • a large can of yams
  • a large package of Stove Top stuffing
  • turkey gravy
  • jellied cranberry sauce
  • yellow or white cake mix
  • a can of frosting
  • 2 Jiffy pie crust mixes
  • 2 cans of same flavor pie filling.
Additionally, $25 may be given to provide a turkey.  Checks should be made out to North Hills Church. 
Collection ends on November 23rd.
