Meet the Staff
Ms. Brenda – Angel Room (Infant Room)
Ms. Brenda has been the lead teacher in the Angel Room for five years. She is currently completing her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development at Oakland Community College. In addition to working in child care settings, Brenda has worked with children as a camp counselor and a youth sports coach at the YMCA.
Ms. Chytia – Turtle Room (Younger Toddler Room)
Ms. Chytia is the lead teacher in the Turtle Room. She has been with North Hills since 2011, and has had the opportunity to work in many of our classrooms. She has been working in the child care field since the age of 15. Chytia has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Henry Ford Community College.
Ms. Shana – Duckling Room (Younger Toddler Room)
Ms. Shana is the lead teacher in the Duckling Room. She has been with North Hills since 2010. Prior to joining North Hills, she worked as a child watch supervisor and as a soccer coach for the YMCA. She is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development at Oakland Community College.
Ms. Elisha – Kangaroo Room (Older Toddler Room)
Ms. Elisha is the lead teacher in the Kangaroo Room. She has been with North Hills since 2007. In addition to working in the Monkey Room and Bear Room, she has also held the position of lead teacher in the Turtle Room. Elisha has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Oakland Community College.
Ms. Jennifer – Monkey Room (Older Toddler Room)
Ms. Jennifer is the lead teacher in the Monkey Room. Her experience working with children includes teaching Kindergarten and Sunday School to children of all ages. Jennifer has a BS from Baker College in Education with a focus in Early Childhood Education, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Ed.
Ms. Jennifer – Bunny Room (Three -Year- Old Preschool Room)
Ms. Jennifer is the lead teacher in the Bunny Room. Jennifer worked as a social worker before transitioning to the field of education, and she has a BA in Social Work from the University of Toledo. She is currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oakland Community College.
Ms. Destiny – Little Bear Room (Three -Year- Old Preschool Room)
Ms. Destiny has been with North Hills since 2010 as the the lead teacher in the Little Bear Room. She has a BA in Elementary Education from Oakland University. Destiny also has experience as a 1st/2nd grade teacher in a Christian school.
Ms. Rosemary – Chipmunk Room (Four- Year- Old Preschool Room)
Ms. Rosemary is the lead teacher in the Chipmunk Room. She joined North Hills in May of 2012, and has a BA in Early Childhood/Christian Education from North Central Bible College. Rosemary has 25 years of experience in the field of early childhood education, both as a teacher and a center director. She is actively involved in her church’s youth program.
Ms. Nicole – Owl Room (Four- Year- Old Preschool Room)
Ms. Nicole is the lead teacher in the Owl Room, and has been with North Hills for 4 years. She has spent time in all of the classrooms, and is a past lead teacher in both the Bunny Room and the Duckling room. Nicole studied Elementary Education at Oakland University.
