North Hills Youth include middle and high school students who learn and serve together in a variety of ways. Learning occurs at age appropriate Sunday School classes as well as during our Sunday Night Alive Program.
Teens serve as helpers in both Children’s Worship, Little Lambs and in our K-1 Sunday School class. The youth also serve as readers/liturgists and musical accompanists during the worship service at various times of the year. The group performs a Christmas play for the congregation and participate in Service Outreach Days throughout the year. The outreach includes serving at a homeless shelter, beautification projects, and the CROP walk to help stamp out hunger as well as other projects aimed at developing a service minded attitude.
Building fellowship among the youth group is a key. The group enjoys activites ranging from sledding, swim parties and attending fellow youth group members school athletic events and musical recitals to show support for one other. One of the favorite activites the youth enjoy is the annual lock-in /overnight event that allows fellowship, learning and fun to occur in a safe and nurturing Christ centered environment.
Check out a recent outreach project that our youth group was involved in serving Covenant House in Detroit.
